In a society that is ruled by apps and online services that can cater to almost anything in our lives, it is easy to become overwhelmed with what to use, where to turn, etc. Even trying a new anything requires you to enter an email address and fill out a form so that they can send crap to your email address. Now you have hours of going thru emails that really aren't important, even you think that are. So you make another email address to receive all of these spam type communiqué from companies you don't care about. You know that you aren't going to check it, so they stay there, clogging up the servers. Where is the good solution? Leave your thoughts down below.Hdemarzohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09331819678848160944noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1084288277524166141.post-15288411658516120482013-12-15T01:39:00.002-08:002013-12-15T01:39:27.647-08:00Mobile?Many people are moving their computing solutions to the mobile market with Smart phones and tablets. Does this solution work for everyone?? Definitely not, however there is something to be said for not having to worry about your data being lost on your hard drive. Hdemarzohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09331819678848160944noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1084288277524166141.post-2564968264003060072012-11-25T19:15:00.000-08:002013-12-15T09:07:02.954-08:00Is there still a market for in-dash car radios?With all the technology that we have available to us, I am left wondering why we still use some of the older technology. For example, in dash car radios. It is completely possible to eliminate some of the out of date items that we use on a day to day basis. There are many people that have completely ditched their car radios for Ipads, or ipad minis. This is the direction that should be taken, however there is one caveat to this approach, no terrestrial radio on these devices. The only device that has been afforded the ability of fm radio is the Ipod nano, but the Ipad nano is not logical for use as the infotainment system in your car. Another possibility is the Iphone. it is possible to connect your IOS device to your car radio but that is just a temporary fix to the overall problem of lack of forward motion. The problem isn't that the world is not ready for it, most people have ditched their landlines for cellphone only house phones. In my house we do not have a landline. It doesn't make sense to pay for a device and service that is only used occasionally when we already pay for a solution that we have with us all the time already. The problem is the companies that produce these devices. Now, dont get me wrong, I understand the reason for being in business is to make money but at what cost? I believe that the world is ready to ditch the in car radio for a simpler version, like their smart phones. WHat do you think??Hdemarzohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09331819678848160944noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1084288277524166141.post-4782107618457732742012-04-09T22:17:00.001-07:002012-04-09T22:17:36.475-07:00Facebook buys instagram?So Facebook is going to buy instagram, there are many people on both sides of the fence on this one. Lots of people are excited for the merger because ....well honestly I'm still trying to figure it out. Personally I only used instagram once, and I didn't see the appeal. To me it was just another photo social app. Now Facebook is getting a hold of instagram, is Facebook going the way of MySpace? Is it time to ditch Facebook and make the move to google+? As I did when I made the move to Facebook? With all the privacy concerns that Facebook had gathered over the years. It might be time to move to something a little more fresh. For the iPad?Today apple released the iPad. You may be asking yourself, didn't they already do that? Well yes they did, but this is the new iPad , not the iPad three, post down below if you got one or if you have had hands on time with it. Which leaves the question, was the new iPad amazing enough for you to upgrade? Or will you be getting the iPad 2 because the price is better or were you waiting for the third version to come out to get one?<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hdemarzohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09331819678848160944noreply@blogger.com0Apple Store Freehold Raceway Mall 3710 U.S. 9, Freehold40.252976 -74.300302tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1084288277524166141.post-47997352275771213702012-02-16T16:49:00.000-08:002012-02-16T16:49:46.071-08:00What We Know About OS X Mountain Lion So FarWhat We Know About OS X Mountain Lion So FarHdemarzohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09331819678848160944noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1084288277524166141.post-10373884008979928512012-02-13T14:45:00.000-08:002012-02-13T14:45:36.987-08:00Hacking attacks and the future...In the past six months or so there have been an increasing number of organizations and websites that have gotten hacked. The most recent being Microsoft, who according to reports, did not have the passwords of the users encrypted. If major corporations are getting hacked, what hope is there for the rest of us? The frequency of these attacks seem to be getting shorter and shorter. Not to be cliche` but if you have ever seen the last Die Hard movie, there seems to be a lot of parallels. What if all these attacks are leading up to something bigger? How can we protect ourselves? Most major technology sector companies have released some form of a cloud storage system. Does this not seem like a really bad place to keep ALL of our sensitive data. The Macbook Air is an amazing step in computing technology, but where does all of you data get stored? In most cases, the answer is "In the cloud". Are the days of large hard drives, and locally stored data behind us? If this is the path that will take us into the future, What are companies like Apple and Microsoft doing to stay a step ahead of the penetration attacks? Leave your thoughts below. Until Next time, keep it real!!Hdemarzohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09331819678848160944noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1084288277524166141.post-68600252376412290242012-02-11T20:53:00.000-08:002012-02-11T20:53:31.172-08:00at&t raising their upgrade fees?So when your contract with at&t expires this year, and you want to get the shiny new phones that are the hot, shiny new item, expect to pay a little more for the "new Hottness". How much more? try double on for size. That's right they raised the upgrade fee from $18 to $36. They apparently make more money when you keep the same phone. So when the Iphone 5 comes out later this year, are you going to pay the extra bucks for the increased fee, or are you going to wait until the price of the phone comes down, to offset the price of the the upgrade fee. Something else to keep in the back of your mind, how are the cell phone makers going to respond to the climbing rates that the providers are charging. How will you respond?? leave your comments, and concerns below, and let us know what you think. until next time, keep it real!!Hdemarzohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09331819678848160944noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1084288277524166141.post-4165691659187981832012-02-02T13:58:00.001-08:002012-02-02T13:58:38.434-08:00Brand new shiny newsA lot has happened recently in the tech world, I thought I would take this chance to tell you about it. So I have been a Mac user for a little over a year, but during my time as a windows user I had a collection of tools that I relied upon to keep my compy healthy and happy. When I made the switch, I had to let go of many of these tools. There is a saying, if you love something let it go and it might come back to you. One of them did, the other day the makers of ccleaner released a version of the compy cleaning software that I had loved while on windows, for my Mac. Be sure to give it a go. If you google ccleaner you are sure to find it.

If you have a Mac you are most likely familiar with the software update button. Apple rolled out the update wagon yesterday with OS X 10.7.3. Of you are hoping for amazingness, you might be dissapointed, however there are some good updates for iMacs, and a bunch of security updates for the populous. Be ready for a sizable download tho. Even though it wasn't the shiny ball of amazing that apple is famous for, I would still do the update, it's always good to keep current with your updates!
It's a statement that is very easily the most basic truths. But what about, the technology that isn't out yet? You know what I'm talking about. Thoughts and ideas that are just doodles, and notes on a legal pad on someone's desk. The kind of stuff that you see in the movies, like the Minority Report. If you head over to maclife.com, they have an article series titled "Mac|Life rethinks Apple". Here they talk about ideas and concepts that are super cool, and not that far-fetched. Actually it would be very easy for apple to produce these items. For example, today's article is about car radios. How awesome would it be to have an apple headunit in your car. Gps, iTunes, and everything else right in your dash. I wonder if apple is listening? Until next time, keep it real!Hdemarzohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09331819678848160944noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1084288277524166141.post-3433924787969860742012-01-06T00:04:00.001-08:002012-01-06T00:13:46.494-08:00Desktop iPhone dock update(build finished)The first official build that the Tech Cruiser has attempted, has come to a close. So as expected, an update is due. I talked a little about the finished product briefly on the YouTube channel , so let's talk more about it here. Overall it came out ok, I'm not as pleased as I had hoped. When I applied the coat of paint I forgot a vital step of painting, clean the surface, so there was some residual oils left on it. When I painted it it took on more of a rough "steam punk" kind of feel. It performs very well however, the phone slides on and off with ease, it feels solid, and has not come apart yet after about two weeks of usage. The next one will be made out of an old alarm clock. Not that I have a basic foundation, it should turn out better. Until next time, keep it real!<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hdemarzohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09331819678848160944noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1084288277524166141.post-11244816861131886302012-01-04T14:09:00.001-08:002012-01-04T14:09:54.975-08:00Airlines gone phishing?American airlines has been serving people for many years, providing reliable transportation service to all kinds of locations. They are now warning people that there is are false emails going around posing as the airline and requesting information from customers. Be warned this is a scam, american airlines has issued a warning not to give them any information. As a tip, never give any information out unless you know for sure it is who you are trying contact, or you contact them first. I knew that this was going to happen, when I first heard it , that date was so far off, now it is growing closer and if you have a website published with iWeb, now is the time to start thinking about moving your site to another web host. With this information comes the other question what is going to happen to IWeb, well hopefully apple has something up their sleeve, otherwise start learning another program, most of the features you know and love are going to be made useless. Out of all these things, as cool as they are, what is the thing that everyone wants? It's very simple yet so many people still don't get the meaning of. Figured out what it is yet? The one thing that people really want is access, plain and simple. The ability to live our digital lives has almost become as vital as breathing , or eating. Let me pose a challenge, turn your smartphone or laptop off for a day, or better still, 5 hours. Kind of feels like someone is smothering you , I admit it even I'm guilty of it. Think it's bad now, wait like 4or 5 years. What did you get for Christmas and how much of your holiday did you post to Facebook the minute it happened? For anyone who was looking forward to this merger will have to wait for better service in some areas. This is a real bummer because i was really looking forward to the merger, the cell service in my area really sux. This would have been a very needed improvement. But for now i will have to deal with it. How about any of you, would this merger really have been a plus for you or simply just another reason for your mobile bill to go up?? leave your comments below. Not just what you have for breakfast, but what you do while you are having your coffee or juice with that bowl of cereal, or an omlet. Do you wake your computer for sleep mode and go right to the email, hit the slider in your iPad or iPhone and update your Facebook status. Everyone has a different routine, what is yours? Middle school kids with iPhones, blackberries, and android devices walking around like they are 30. I not saying that I'm against kids that age shouldn't have ad use technology, I'm just saying that they don't need an iPhone when they are I 5th grade. A go phone, or a small candy bar phone is perfect. They loose them, leave them places, and don't care, except for the fact that they are going to get yelled at. Smartphones require responsibility, learn it before you get a super expensive mobile device. I mean remember your school books and homework before anything, not password to your Facebook. Having been using it since then I found a few new ways to tweak it for greater stability while shooting video. For example, instead of using silicone to achieve greater adhesion to the dashboard, and locating a better attachment for the iPhone to rest in. These additions came during the start of my newest project. A desktop dock for my iPhone. I tried to keep the cost of the project to almost nothing by using items that I had around the house, a sync cable, some silicone, and the packaging for my magic mouse. I got the build about 80% of the way to completion when I realized that the silicone was beginning to separate from the surface of the plastic. So I thought what is better than silicone for this? Duh, two part epoxy, something like jb weld should do the trick. I was planning on painting it any way, that's where I am at now waiting on the trip to the store to get some epoxy to finish the project. Just Incase you were wondering, no the buckyballs are not part. Of the project, they are damn cool though. Until next time, keep it real!<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hdemarzohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09331819678848160944noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1084288277524166141.post-68252519538512600062011-11-14T14:11:00.000-08:002011-11-14T14:11:19.472-08:00How to Physically Back Up Your iOS DeviceHow to Physically Back Up Your iOS DeviceHdemarzohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09331819678848160944noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1084288277524166141.post-16204683128565591102011-11-05T20:52:00.000-07:002012-01-27T10:46:10.892-08:00Apple IOS 5

Recently there has been lots of stuff coming out of Cupertino regarding a few bugs that have been plaguing users of the new IPhone 4s and IOS 5. According to many users, there is a serious flaw with the battery and how long it lasts. Apple released a statement saying that they are aware of a bug that is causing the issue and have a plan in place to fix the issue. A second beta of IOS 5.0.1 has been released, and Apple says that it will release the update in a few weeks to fix the problem. Is this something that you expected or is this a surprise to the FAN-BOY world of apple. As an apple man, I can say that I expected the new IOS to have problems. As a general rule I never run out and grab the newest in Apples lineup until it is necessary for me to upgrade, or at least I wait for a couple of months. This way I am ensured that at least the biggest problems are worked out of any device. Do you follow the same rule or do you run out and grab the newest and greatest right away??

Hdemarzohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09331819678848160944noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1084288277524166141.post-55978477563789702412011-10-29T07:33:00.001-07:002012-01-27T10:46:10.287-08:00Laptops and the future...
For al of us that follow the tech industry, read the blogs, and watch the live streams of the release events, we hear the phrase "The future of computing" very often. But what does that mean for us, in the trenches swiping and tapping on our ipads, opening our laotops i nthe coffee shops and diners? Do you see yourself ditching you laptop for an ipad or just a smart phone? For those that do video editing, or image manipulation, or data crunching the answer is definately no( at least for me) there is absolutely no way that I could function with only an ipad and a smart phone. Could I use an iphone instead of a webcam and my laptop on the car seat to film in the car, yes, but I still need my Macbook Pro to edit it. The future image you see in the movies is still a long way out. So for those that dream of a Star Trek type of everyday computing life style, sorry you will have to wait, maybe a LONG time.

Powered by Qumana

Hdemarzohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09331819678848160944noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1084288277524166141.post-86408574097613425072011-10-18T01:00:00.001-07:002012-01-27T10:46:09.592-08:00Switch to the dark side

Swiftly approaching the 1 year mark of officially making the switch to MAC and the list of apps that i can't live without has grown a little…well ok it has grown a lot.

Previously i mentioned 7ZIP. Most of them you don't see or know about. But the ones that you do notice, have so far been pretty darn cool. Like for example, spaces. Who knew that the multiple desktops would be as useful as they are. Granted, Linux has been using this feature for years, but somehow Apple does it with a little panache. It come in handy when you are filling out a job application for example. You have the Application on one space, on another you have your resume, another one has you email, and the last one has Itunes. Wait you need more than that? No worries, just pop open the dashboard and throw another one in there and you're good to go. A_MA_ZING!

How about the Shiny new finish and polish that they put into Lion. Instead of being more round and bubbly that squared off the corners, made the buttons a little smaller, even the progress bars got a little more geometric. Not what we have all come to know and love but, never the less, gives OS X a feel of maturity.

The biggest change (And in my opinion the best change apple made since touch screens) Shows itself in the COMPLETELY revamped version of mail. When they were designing the changes for this OS they put a great deal into mail, it is cleaner, easier to use and the use of full screen apps that Apple has sprinkled into every corner of Lion, makes mail My number one pick For the best updates in Lion.

There are a ton of new Features to talk about, so stay tuned for the next Round of updates. Until next time, keep it real!!

Hdemarzohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09331819678848160944noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1084288277524166141.post-10636603812273082782011-07-20T13:24:00.000-07:002011-07-20T13:24:10.760-07:00Inside movie auditionHdemarzohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09331819678848160944noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1084288277524166141.post-21715016818042089602011-06-20T20:54:00.000-07:002011-06-20T20:54:26.713-07:00Indiana Jones....And LIfe ??I have been watching the Indiana Jones movies from the first one, I just finished the Last Crusade. Upon ending credits, I am left wondering if they are just movies or can they be applied to life? The biggest message that is expressed in this movie is inner discovery and the search for truth within yourself. At one point in the movie, Harrison Ford is hanging on by a finger nail at the edge of a seemingly bottomless crevice, just barely out of reach of the HOLY GRAIL, His father says " Indiana, let it go". DO you think that this could be applied to real life? Could the biggest thing in your life, the single most important discovery really be within yourself?? Leave your comments and spread the word about this blog, we talk about some good topics here. Or at least we will when I get a bigger audience!!!Hdemarzohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09331819678848160944noreply@blogger.com0
