Microsoft Bing Vs. Google - Search Engine Wars

Microsoft Bing Vs. Google - Search Engine Wars

I recently have been playing with Microsoft's newest search engine, Bing. There were a few thing that i noticed that it has over Google. I also noticed a few major things that made it less formidable than Google. Let's start with the positives. Bing does auto correct any spelling errors that you make as opposed to asking you if you "Meant to look for " something. When looking for videos, the results come up in a grid arrangement of images, as you run your mouse over the result images, the video will start playing right there, no redirecting to where the video is hosted. AWESOME!!!! The look and feel was more user interactive than Google. Now for the things that made it a few steps short of Google. If you use services like Blogger, or any other Google based software, you will have a hard time using these services. For example, Google chrome allows for direct Blogging from a website without having to go to your Blog site, via the use of The Blogger service i can post a blog from within the browser. Bing does not allow you to do this. The results that Google pulls up are much more numerous that that of Bing. This can be both a good thing and a bad thing. If you are looking for something specific Google is going to pull up way more than you need. It also makes the time it takes to display the results a little bit longer. Not that you will have to go and get a cup of coffee, but it will take a moment of two longer. However this does afford you the option to search for the best information for you, as you see fit.
Over all I think both are good, but each for its own reasons. I am going to continue to use Google, but will continue to check Bing out, as they mature, to see if they move into Google's territory.
